B Corp Recertification 2023

I am honored to announce that in February 2023, Wallaroo Hat Company received our third B-Corp recertification. This rigorous certification is a prestigious mark that represents our dedication to equitable practices, sustainability and transparency. Our company respects and takes pride in our hardworking team and the passion they bring to our mission of providing stylish sun protective hats. We also owe much of our success to the artisans who craft our fashionable Wallaroo headwear that helps us spread the message about prevention and awareness of skin cancer. As a Certified B Corp, we make it a priority to take care of the environment by making concerted efforts to compost, recycle, and eliminate plastic usage.

We believe that in addition to caring for the environment we must also contribute in meaningful ways to the community we live in. As part of this effort, Wallaroo employees gathered at the Valmont Bike and Dog Park in Boulder, to help clean and restore areas overrun with weeds. We cleared garden beds and walkways and disposed of waste — a small but important effort in keeping outdoor community spaces beautiful for everyone to enjoy. Connecting with our community brought our team closer together and while we value hard work, we also believe in the importance of bonding outside the workplace.  

To continue fostering goodwill and connection among our employees, Wallaroo took a cooking class and prepared a holiday meal together at Boulder’s Food Lab. Their mission is for participants to bond and enjoy each other’s company through food, and that is exactly what we did. We shared flavors of Mediterranean cuisine and experienced what Wallaroo believes in: going out into the world and creating memories with the people we care about.
