As last year came to a close, many of us found ourselves looking to 2022 with a renewed sense of hope and optimism. However, on December 30th, those hopes were dashed when extreme wind gusts and unseasonably dry conditions ignited the Marshall Fire: the most destructive fire in Colorado’s history. The Marshall fire resulted in the loss of over 1,000 homes and businesses in the Boulder area. Many families stood helplessly by as their homes burned to the ground. The intensity of the wind and the unexpected nature of the fire made it impossible to contain.

With the enormity of the losses faced by our community we have all been affected in one way or another. To help support our community and the victims of the Marshall Fire, Wallaroo Hat Company is donating 10% of all online sales during the month of January to the Community Foundation’s Boulder County Wildfire Fund. As a long time, Boulder-based company, we hope that this small gesture will help our community take the first steps in rebuilding what was lost. Our hearts go out to everyone who has been impacted by this tragedy.

We believe that strong communities are built on support and compassion for one another. The Marshall Fire began the new year with unprecedented and unexpected challenges. Together, with the support of our loyal team and dedicated customers, we can assist those in need. Through these difficult times, kindness, unity, and hope will persist.

With love, gratitude, and thanks you for your continued support.
